Aeronova Company conducts flight tests of unmanned airship NOVA-01

Aeronova is a young company that has undertaken the development and production of airship-type aircraft.

Today the organization is testing the first model NOVA-01: it was developed exclusively as a dynamic copy of the cargo unmanned airship NOVA-2 for testing the automatic control system, refining mathematical models of airship behavior during takeoff and landing in various wind conditions, as well as for full-scale modeling of automatic mooring and weathervaning processes to a low anchor point.

The first stages of testing were successful: the operability of all units and mechanisms of the aircraft was verified, as well as their integrated operation — the airship is statically and dynamically stable, all onboard equipment operates properly.

Currently, specialists are developing algorithms for autonomous execution of flight missions.

"As a result of this work, the company will obtain its own flight control and dispatching system, which will form the basis of a unified software environment for a transport and logistics system based on airship-type aircraft," commented Fedor Konstantinov, technical director of Aeronova.
